Perfection – Japanese attitude

Apparently the computer giant IBM decided to have some parts manufactured in Japan as a trial project.

In the specifications, they set out that they will accept only three defective parts per 10,000.

When the delivery came in there was an accompanying letter.

"We, Japanese people, had a hard time understanding North American business practices. But the three defective parts per 10,000 have been separately manufactured and have been included in the consignment in a separate packaging clearly mentioned 'defective pieces' as required, not for use. Hope this pleases you."

The fallen Tomato Cart by Subroto Bagchi

I pass through this very intersection every morning with so much ease. Today, the pace is skewed. There is a sense of disarray as motorists try to push past each other through the traffic light. The light here always tests their agility because if you miss the green, you have to wait for another three minutes before it lets you go past again. Those three minutes become eternity for an otherwise time-insensitive nation on the move. Today, there is a sense of chaos here. People are honking, skirting each other and rushing past.
